Looking for a super cozy tank? The Arquenne Top was designed with comfort in mind. It features over-sized armholes and 0-2″ of positive ease.
I was originally inspired by all the cute Henley top designs that I’m obsessed with during the fall and wanted something super cozy that I could wear during the spring & summer too which is how I ended up at this design. I even got to use WeCrochet’s Comfy yarn which was so fitting for what I was going for.
This pattern is size-inclusive for somens sizes S-5X (bust sizes from 34″-62″). It’s made in two body panels that are seamed together. It’s an easy, beginner-friendly pattern that’s quick to work up. Each size

Seaming:
Once done, seam the two body panels together using your preferred method of seaming. Make sure to also seam together the straps.
Armhole Edging:
[repeat for both armholes] **note: You’ll be crocheting into spaces around the armhole so there are no specific stitches to work into.** Attach your yarn in the armpit portion of one armhole.
Sc in each horizontal/flat edge. Sc2tog around the inner corners and sc into each outer corner (where the harsh edge is). Work this all the way around until you reach your starting point and sl st into that space.
Neckline Edging:
**note: You’ll be crocheting into spaces around the neckline so there won’t always be a specific stitch to work into** Attach your yarn on one side of the “V” at the front of the top and work away from it (you will never crochet anything inside the V portion).
Sc around the neckline in the same manner you did for the armhole edging. Work all the way around until you reach the opposite side of the “V”. Once you reach the “V”, cut & tie off.
Secure & weave in all ends.
Blocking:
Blocking is optional – if you see that your edging is curled or not laying flat, lightly block the edges. I chose to steam block my piece to release some tension at the edging and to smooth over the “V”. Since the gauge & measurements are based on an un-blocked piece, I recommend only blocking the seams & edges to help them lay flat but not to block the body of the top.
Buttons (optional):
If you’re looking to add some buttons to your piece, space them out evenly along one side of the “V”. I recommend using small to medium buttons if you plan to button them shut. They are mostly for decorative purposes as we did not create button holes, however, if you are using a smaller button as I did, you are still able to button these shut using the stitch spaces directly opposite the buttons.
Once done, make sure to cut & weave in any ends and you’re done!
